Eliphalet Remington founded the company in 1816 in Illion, NY. Emington is America’s oldest factory that still makes its original product – guns. Remington grew to become the largest producer of shotguns and rifles, and the company invented more cartridges than any other gun maker. Through the years Remington started to ship to 60 countries worldwide.

Eliphalet believed that he could find a better gun on the market, the people back then were known for diverse skills and crafting was one of them. Eliphalet Remington’s father was a barrel smith and this fact helped Remington to gain knowledge and have the needed supplies, after he started to make first guns, the family moved to Illion, NY. When Remington entered a shooting competition with his own designed flintlock rifle and won it, he soon started to receive so many orders that he quit the former means of employment nad became a gunsmith. That’s where the journey of Remington started. The journey still continues and went through a lot of good times and bad times, but history has proven that Remington offered quality and made his name a trademark.
